This course will deal with emergency patients who enter your office. This will include how to diagnosis and treat the emergency. Part of the course will deal with preventing emergencies and the midnight calls from your patients in pain. Are we setting our patients up to have pain? This course will deal with these issues.
The Emergency Patient
Should you accept emergency patients? They will disrupt your office routine and take away time from your other productive patients. Emergency patients are never cost effective. You will spend an hour plus helping these patients when you could be cutting a bridge preparation. How much are you going to charge the emergency patient? Whatever you charge it will not be enough if you consider the disruption to your office. These are not the quiet patients. They will be very loud and difficult to handle at times.
