This course will identify a tooth abscess and show how the infection can lead to a brain infection and death. Usually this is accomplished by poor root canal therapy that leaves infection in the sinus cavity, or by the patient ignoring the symptoms of a tooth abscess.
In the United States over eight hundred thousand patients with abscessed teeth went to the hospital for treatment rather than go to the local dentist. How many of these were after seeing a dentist is not known. Speculating as to why someone would go to the hospital for treatment, I have to refer to a personal experience.
