130 - Dental Practice Management


Most of us coming out of dental school have not had any training in operating a dental office. We have a handle of how to perform dentistry, but we are completely unprepared for operating a dental office. Even when we work for someone else for a few years, we do not gain any real experience in running a practice. This course will give you an outline to work from. You will add your own particular brand to it.


I would recommend working for another dental office for a couple of years to pick up your speed and become more grounded in dentures, partials, implants, and bridges. You should take advantage of the other courses listed to help you get started.

It would be advisable to avoid the large corporate offices and seek out private offices where the pressure is not as intense. Ask questions and be willing to learn from the owner dentist.
